The USMC P-44 cap was standardized in September 1944. The cap was made from Herringbone Twill (HBT) fabric. It closely resembled the 1941 pattern US Army HBT cap, with slight differences, notably, the pleats around the crown were spaced differently to accommodate the USMC EGA emblem printed on the front. This is an issued example showing light use and wear. The EGA is still clear and crisp. A very good example.
