WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Type 98 Jacket

This tropical jacket, crafted from heavy, coarse cotton, features a five-button front and a single hook closure at the neck. All buttons are of lightweight, two-piece brass design. A belt loop with a single brass button closure is located on the left side. Traces of thread on the collar suggest the previous presence of tabs. Markings are stamped in black ink on the inside left breast. The coat is in very nice condition, showing minimal wear.
