A PAIR OF OVERSEAS CAPS NAMED TO COLONEL E. M. PRYSE

This is a pair of US Army Officer’s overseas caps both named to Colonel Elias Morgan Price.  One of the caps is an English made version with pinback Colonel rank insignia. Written in ink on the sweatband is “Col Pryse”. The sweatband is impressed with English makers name and interior liner has War Department stamp.  The other cap is the standard officer’s cap with black and gold soutache. Sweatband has “E M Pryse” written in ink.  Pryse was the commander of the 924th engineer aviation regiment, a frontline unit during the European campaign.
