The standard Imperial Japanese Army type 90 helmet for combat troops during WWII. An early and most likely wartime battlefield pickup, this helmet still retains much of the paint and remnants of kanji on inside rim. It has been severely struck by shrapnel and possibly a bullet strike too. One of the strikes knocked the star device from the front of helmet. The interior retains much of the original paint and a piece of the chinstrap. A fantastic relic that definitely tells a story.
