An outstanding trench art mess kit that belonged to a Seabee. Named to Olin Gordon who shows up in the navy records as enlisting in 1942 and belonging to the 5th CB Battalion during 1944-45. His service during 1943 was in the New Guinea area and he has recorded the places that his unit was garrisoned. Gordon has done a fine job of engraving the mess kit with an eagle, anchor, 1943 date, naked lady on a swing and more. The kit is dated 1918 and made by L.F.& C.
One of the best WW2 trench art kits we have seen.
