FINE AND SCARCE AERIAL M3 KNIFE

An M3 knife by Aerial marked on guard “U.S. M3 A.C.C.”  Knife has 8-groove grip with pommel attached by two pins. There is a flaming bomb ordnance stamp on top of pommel.  Blade has a medium gray parkerized finish.  The scabbard is the correct M8 with short hanger without wire hook.  Condition is excellent with only light use wear to grip.  Blade is near pristine with only very minor scabbard marks to parkerized finish and no sharpening.  Scabbard shows use and expected ageing with areas of finish loss on back.  The Aerial Cutlery Company of Marinette, WI produced approximately 51,700 M3 knives during WWII.
