BATTLE DAMAGED JAPANESE TYPE 90 HELMET

The standard Imperial Japanese Army type 90 helmet for combat troops during WWII.  Helmet has been struck directly to the front by a .30 or possibly a .50 caliber round exiting through the rear with devastating effect.  The helmet retains the Imperial Army star and much of the original paint both inside and out. the chinstrap is separated but complete.  There are kanji letters visible on interior rim.  Definitely an early battlefield recovery.
